Wichita River Run

Go for Glory!

RACE’s own Grant Culver ran the 2009 Wichita River Run 10K in under 40 minutes and Brian Gensch finished the same event in 45 minutes.  Great work guys!  Over 30 people joined our RACE Charities group in downtown Wichita for the foundation’s annual “Go For Glory!” event, which helped our organization promote its cause and connect with a wide range of friends and supporters.

RACE’s new partnership with the Wichita Girls Cross Country Club- Flying Angels kicked off with nearly 20 Girls running the two mile event in record times as they wore the RACE GlowBands and proudly showed off the group’s running skills.  Way to go girls!

RACE also used the event to announce this year’s “WARRIOR OF THE YEAR” recipients and is pleased to congratulate Dave Murfin and Bob Gensch as the 2009 co-WARRIORS OF THE YEAR!  Both men’s dedication and “Warrior”-like spirit exemplified the will and determination to dramatically improve each’s health, physical wellness, and physical goals achievement.  Dave and Bob were awarded framed certificates at the post-race gathering in downtown Wichita near the finish line.

We look forward to seeing everyone next year at the same event, so mark your calendars for this annual Wichita River Run RACE Charities’ “Go For Glory!” and keep posted with the events and plans for next spring’s big Wichita event!
