Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is a magnet for the world’s top scientists and for patients seeking leadingedge treatment for cancer and related diseases.

  • The Hutchinson Center trains physicians from many countries in bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, enabling tens of thousands of patients to be treated each year. The Center’s clinical partner, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, treats patients from around the world. In all, the physician-scientists have performed more than 10,000 bone-marrow and stem-cell transplants.
  • From Bangladesh to Belarus, the Center conducts studies and partners with researchers in more than 50 countries.
  • More than 1 million people worldwide have participated in the Center’s public-health studies.  Our cancer prevention research program is a model for other institutions around the globe.
  • Home to the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Institute, the Center attracts leading scientists in the areas of vaccine development and prevention of infectious diseases, including HIV and cancer-causing viruses.
