Peter Wong

Peter Wong is a Warrior and on a
mission to Fight For Life!

I grew up in Wichita, Kansas where I first met Glory Gensch. Our friendship grew after highschool despite going to different colleges as we called each other frequently, wrote several letters and visited one another through the years. Glory Gensch was one of my best friends, and her battle with cancer taught me so much about her and myself. She was one of the strongest people I have ever known. She taught me about the value of friendship. Moreover, she taught me how to be a good friend. I miss her dearly, and am dedicated to helping her achieve her dream Currently, I am an Anesthesiology Resident at Tufts Medical Center. I enjoy watching USC football, playing organized sports, or just grabbing a beer with friends. Please help me in our goal to raise money for R.A.C.E charities.

RACE Summary

RACE Charities is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of cancer through early detection. RACE organizes events around the country in efforts to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of cancer, especially for young people with a family history of cancer. RACE was founded by Glory Gensch (pictured on top of Page) who passed away from colon cancer at the age of 23. Glory's legacy and mission lives on through RACE Charities, whose fundraising campaign is focused on raising money to donate directly to nationally renowned early detection research institutes throughout the United States. Glory, as well as all RACE volunteers and members, believe that if our efforts can save just one life, then it is well worth the sacrifice!
