Inaugural Virtual Relay

Inaugural ‘Go For Glory!’ Virtual relay event raises over $15,000!

November 2012 marked the inaugural Virtual Relay event where seventeen different RACE Team Leaders created Virtual Team leader/Warrior accounts on the racecharities.org website. Some team leaders were able to sign-up additional team members who also created Warrior accounts and then blasted their friends, family, co-workers, and others with information about RACE Charities and the mission our Foundation is on to raise money for research of the early detection of cancer at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Through word of mouth, trending facebook posts, and e-mail blasts, our team members and warriors cumulated over $15,000 in total money raised to ‘Save one Life’. We as a foundation are honored to receive such wonderful support from our donor-base and dedicated Team Leaders and Warriors. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

In December Jeromy Gensch, John Gensch, and Gary Gensch all visited the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) in Seattle and presented Dr. Grady (Lead Researcher) with a check in the amount of $15,000! The actual checks totaled just over $15,000 as FHCRC received one different donation check (regular size check) per Team Leader, so a grand total of seventeen separate and individual donation checks, each reflecting that team leader’s grand total.

The staff at FHCRC was enthusiastically appreciative of everyone’s hard work and efforts and looks forward to making continued advancements in the area of biomarker-based early detection of cancer and future RACE Charities endeavors!
